IPC Designer Certification CID+ Course (Advanced Certified Interconnect Designer)

This training course is an advancement beyond the basic CID and focuses on more complex projects related to the so-called HDI (High Density Interconnect).

Course objectives

Designing an electronic device that remains reliable over time requires the design team to be fully aware of the issues involved in the various phases of its development.

The CID+ certification is an important recognition for anyone who obtains it. Given the speed at which technology changes, continuing education becomes necessary for designers to maintain and improve their effectiveness and knowledge.

Final exam

At the end of the two theory days, a final exam with 120 multiple-choice questions is scheduled; a score of at least 73% correct answers earns the certification. The certification is valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

Who is the course for?

Anyone who designs, develops or manufactures PCBs at any level — from sales and management to procurement and quality.

The maximum number of participants is 15; with a minimum of 4 enrollments the course can be held at the customer’s site. To attend the course, it is necessary to have obtained the CID certification and to have 3–5 years of design experience.
